I met Bipin over ten years ago when I started getting involved with the Ad Club Bombay. From then to now, one has seen the many dimensions of the man and the way he has grown. I remember the chaos that faced us when delegate requests were pouring in for the Ad Asia Jaipur, or the year Ad Club had a line up of over 25 big and small events or when we had a big gap in the sponsorship kitty.
Bipin handled these and many other situations with a great deal of patience and enterprise. Presidents of the Club have changed many times over the last decade and Bipin has had to adjust to the differing styles and temperament. Not only did he manage to adjust to the varying styles, and let me assure you that there were many, he also managed to learn from each of them. And that is one thing that I have noticed with Bipin: his immense capacity for absorbing new concepts and ideas.
Not only has he learnt a lot about the advertising business, it is admirable that he has been able to leverage his knowledge through an interesting website. His enthusiasm and talent for stage shows have found growing expression; his last show saw a packed Welingkar auditorium.
And some of us even saw Bipin waving from the stands during an important cricket match in Australia [he had carried a nicely worded banner from India, just for that occasion]. I wish Bipin all the very best: keep learning, keep growing, keep spreading good cheer and keep making more and more friends!
