Bipin Pandit — the name itself brings about a smile on the faces of all those who have known him for years and I am one of the lucky ones ! My association with Bipin started three decades back in the year 1977 when we were classmates at the IES EnglishSchool, Hindu Colony. Our relationship didn’t take much time to develop and it was the great game of cricket which was the bonding factor. Bipin was and is still a fanatic of the great G R Vishwanath and I was and am still a die-hard fan of the Little Master Sunil Gavaskar. We would sit on the neighbouring benches and would often get hauled up by our class teachers for “talking” when the class was on and it was always the discussion about how these two heroes performed in the test match which was in progress at that point of time. The debate even continues today during our “sessions” and cricket still remains our common passion! Whatever Bipin does, he does with great passion and this has helped him achieve whatever he has achieved in the field of entertainment. He has taken all the efforts to learn Urdu – the “ultimate” language according to him which he uses so fluenty while anchoring entertainment shows. Mimicry, which was just a hobby for him once upon a time is now part of his profession and he always keeps innovating through intense observation and practice. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand how he manages his job , his profession and his passion to keep in touch with friends who matter to him. Bipin has always been a very expressive person a trait which he has probably inherited from his father who was such a fun loving person and so full of life ! In fact I am always excited to attend any of the functions organised by the “Pandits” because you are always guaranteed of one thing – Fun – Unlimited ! Our friendship has brought our families together which has further bonded our relationship. I on behalf of entire Churi family wish him all the success , good luck, good health in the years to come and may he achieve all that he has dreamt of Bipin, Keep smiling and keep others smiling too , today, tomorrow and always because it’s one thing which keeps us going and I am afraid it doesn’t disappear from our lives one day!
