In its fifty four years of history, The Advertising Club of Bombay has gone a radical change. From its first President Taleyarkhan to
P.L.Tandon, Leyden and Fielden, Parmeshwar, Roger Pereira, Sam Balsara till the present President,the club has achieved highest laurels in Advertising, Marketing, Media and the honor of being largest and most effective ad club in the world.
Nonetheless, the role of Managers of the club in managing the affairs of the club has equally been important. From Mala Malkhani to P.N.Wali’s unforgetable contribution behind the scene is remarkable.
I was President of the Club for the years 1994-96. Few years after my tenure, Bipin as I fondly address him joined the club. Though not having the opportunity to work with him, I found him to be very effectionate, human being. Normally, the past Presidents are forgotten, but in Bipin i found that he maintained the same regard and respect for me as i used to get during my tenure from the management. He has special place in my heart.
As a professional, i watch his personnel involvement in almost every activity of the club, be it Annual Awards Functions, Ad Asia Conferences, or day to day affairs of the club. I thus rate him as the best Manager the club ever had. This is my honest observaion.
As a human, Bipin excels in every respect. His respect to elders, and the past contributers to the club is appreciable. I understand that he is a good humourist as well, and take interst in cultural programmes.
I wish him success and long happy life.
